Emma and Mark’s wedding at Trevenna Barns was one of those days that just felt full of heart from start to finish. Set in the rolling hills of Cornwall, this venue is a bit of a dream: rustic stone barns, sweeping countryside views, and everything you could need all in one place. It’s the kind of setting that lets everyone relax and soak up every moment - a real treat for any wedding photographer in Cornwall.
The ceremony was incredibly special. Emma’s daughters were her bridesmaids, and her son walked her down the aisle. It was such a beautiful, emotional moment that had more than a few of us welling up. Sunflowers were the flowers of the day, bringing so much warmth and colour. They suited the atmosphere perfectly … joyful, sunny, and completely unpretentious.
After the “I dos,” everyone gathered for drinks and time to enjoy the stunning surroundings. One of the best things about Trevenna is how it flows. There are beautiful spots everywhere you turn, whether guests want to chat over a drink, sit out in the sunshine, or just wander the gardens. As a wedding photographer at Trevenna Barns, it’s a dream — every corner offers something special to capture.
Dinner was a sit-down, three-course meal served by Trevenna’s in-house team, who were brilliant throughout. The food was delicious — relaxed but elegant, served in the light-filled Garden Venue with long tables, soft styling, and a real sense of togetherness.
As the sun dipped behind the hills, the party moved into full swing. There was a disco in the Threshing Barn, complete with a proper dancefloor and oak bar, and an ice cream cart set up inside the Garden Venue that kept guests smiling all evening. It was one of those nights where no one wanted to leave the dancefloor, and when they did, it was to grab another scoop.
Trevenna is such a fantastic place to get married, not just because of how beautiful it is, but because of how easy they make everything. The venue includes everything you need: spaces for your ceremony and reception, onsite accommodation for over 40 guests, and a team who really care about your day running smoothly. You don’t have to worry about the little things – they’re already thought of.
Emma and Mark’s day was full of laughter, love, and the kind of moments you never forget. And getting to photograph it all in such a beautiful setting? That was the icing on the cake. If you’re planning your own celebration here and looking for a wedding photographer in Cornwall who knows and loves Trevenna Barns, I’d love to hear from you.
