Hi, It's Nice to Meet You

I'm Hayley

Photography has been a part of my world for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been drawn to light; the way it shifts, softens, and transforms even the simplest moments into something quietly beautiful.

What I love most about wedding photography is its honesty. The emotion, the atmosphere, the connections unfolding in real time. Nothing staged, nothing forced, just people being completely themselves in one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

My style is clean, natural, and timeless, with an emphasis on true-to-life colour and imagery that feels effortless. I work with a calm, relaxed approach, capturing moments as they happen and guiding gently when needed.

For me, it’s always about creating photographs that feel as real and beautiful as the memories themselves.

"Hayley made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera, which is something we were both a little nervous about. Her calm and friendly presence made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed".

A life-long interest

I’ve loved taking photographs since I was little, regularly borrow my mum’s Nikon film camera to capture little moments that felt special. At 16, I got a job at Somerfields and saved up for my first DSLR, dreaming about all the stories I could tell with it. I photographed my first wedding in 2011 and fell in love with the romance of it all, the people, the emotion, the beauty. I went on to shoot many more weddings, and I still feel that same pull today: creating photographs that feel timeless, natural, and genuinely beautiful to look back on.

Outside of photography, my life is full of the things I love most.

I married the love of my life, Chris, in 2022. We’ve got two labradoodles, Rosie and River, and if you’ve ever met a doodle you’ll know exactly what that means: joy, chaos, and mud. I love being outside, long walks on the moor, beach days, swimming in the sea, and the occasional cold river swim up on the moor just because. I’ve also got a real soft spot for the Scottish Highlands. Give me big skies and wild landscapes any day. I’m a qualified teacher, but photography has been my passion since I was young, and I still feel lucky that it’s what I get to do now. And when I’m not out walking or editing, I’m usually rewatching Schitt’s Creek, The Office (US), or Gilmore Girls (guilty pleasure, but I love the autumn feel).
