Avalen Farm - Brand Shoot

I recently had the pleasure of spending the day at the beautiful Avalen Farm, near Bodmin, Cornwall. Avalen is a stunning collection of restored traditional barns, set within 100 acres of Cornish countryside and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Once part of the Lanhydrock estate, the historic barns have been thoughtfully transformed by four generations of a local farming family into an unforgettable setting.

With exclusive use of the romantic courtyard and surrounding farmland, Avalen offers a relaxed, blank canvas space for civil ceremonies, celebrant weddings, or receptions of any size.

One of my favourite touches is that each wedding, a tree is planted beside the ancient woodland. Avalen means “apple tree” in Cornish.

I spent time in the morning with the lovely Emma, Louise and Meg, while we captured some photographs of them both inside the venue and out. They are an excellent team, and this shines through the images. I later moved towards capturing images of this beautiful venue, without anything added; no styling, no photographic lighting, just this gorgeous venue in it's purest form, allowing for future couple's to visualise what mark they could put on the venue for their own day.
